They did my first transmission flush and have helped me out with other minor things, good service and knowledgeable on LR including RR. Don't know how they go with older models (D2 and older).

Remove the butterfly.
I can explain exactly why [emoji41]
In an engine, when that butterfly closes it’s because the EGR is expected to be open.
Without functioning EGR the engine now generates a vacuum and can draw oil up.
Blanking the EGR takes minutes, allows the pipes to be removed - which is beneficial when doing other tasks on the engine eg Coolant outlet
D4, yes, IID EGR deavtiation.. Inlet manifold almost clean when I decided to proactively diassemble to do water outlet.
Instead of messing with the pipes just pulled them out, plugged with blanking plates on EGR cooler and inlet manifold ($40.00 online - no time to make stuff anymore)
Makes everything else easy.
Cheers
