While I sit at the pub consoling my friend over his destroyed Jeep engine, I’m reminded of all things Disco too.
Good luck.

Well it has been a long time since I've posted, but I do keep an eye out.
Unfortunately I am selling the D4 to a friend. I'm not able to use it for the purpose I bought and built it for, just no time. And the car is too big for me by myself nowadays.
So it is time to say goodbye and I am buying a J*** (trying to avoid the swear filter) Cherokee Trailhawk, since it is the only fully capable 4WD in the compact class.
I am sad after 11 years driving the D3 and D4 and being one of the few people who have managed to roll a Disco 3 on the tracks; that I am leaving the fold.
Many many thanks to all the people on here who have helped me over the years. I have made friends and met so many wonderful people.
I will hang around and look at the posts on here, but, for now it is the end of my Land Rover journey.
cheers
Mike

Best of luck, hate to say it but the Trailhawk is a formidable V8 4WD, the yanks do know how to make a V8 hustle.
All the best Mike, and good luck with the Jeep.
I recalled your adventure at Lower Taylor’s arm...and the time in the pub afterward....when I managed to barrel roll my D4. They are strong!
Cheers
