Any difference in fuel economy?

Id be more worried about what transmission is behind the motor than the motor itself.
The latter 8 speed being the one to have.

So what was the giveaway that the van brakes were locked, and how much for a new set of van tyres.....

An advantage to the 2.7 TDV6 is that you can remap the engine for more power/torque and better fuel economy, and do an EGT patch to disable it.

If you want to go this way that’s also possible with the 3.0ltr engines.
