Depends greatly on use also.
The AGM will charge quicker, so shorter runs don’t hurt as much.
The dealers started fitting AGMs to D3 under warranty as many people were killing them (wet cells) due to short runs and low SoC

D3 and 2.7 D4 charge differently to D4 3.0L.
Although an AGM will last ok,had a couple in my D4 2.7,over the years,with no issues,although I did also charge it regularly with a charger.
It didn’t have an AGM from new,but the battery didn’t last long and was replaced with an AGM by the dealer.
0630 in the 4 and on our way to Adelaide.
Windscreen replaced at 12:00
New boots fitted at 15:00
Also grabbed some new ones for Ike the 90.
And kept the old ones for the D.I.Ls Challenger.
Played Tetris to load it all up.
There’s clothing etc for a weekend away for me and Mrs Tombie, 200L of port bottles to get filled, a SUP, birthday presents for the Grandson and 9x 32” tyres in the cabin and one on the roof!
