I just undid the nut and removed mine. They just lifted off.
Anyone know how UV resistant the raptor coating is ? is it likely to fade as quick as the bare plastic ?

Had minor heart failure as the wife couldn’t get the car to start after I had replaced the cover to our only key earlier in the day. Ignition would turn on for the systems shock, but the car wouldn’t start and would just turn itself off.
Turns out the youngest daughter had pumped the brake pedal from pretending to drive so it took extra pressure on the brake pedal to engage the switch allowing the motor to start.

A Question.
A couple of times I have forgotten to put the auto trans dial into park before switching off. The car then does it for me, but I was wondering if this is likely to lead to any form of early failure or?????
At long last my ever disintegrating arm rest with black duct tape covering the vinyl cracks has been repaired. Bought an Ebay cover mentioned here previously. Must admit for $40 I’m pretty happy with the quality. Quite scary one-shot to get it right but sharing my tip below to mark the backside once positioned and cut fillets in the corner and remove any excessive material so it folds over only about 10-15mm (do the sharp corners like covering your school books). Once you spray the adhesive there’s no turning back. Any wrinkles though you have just enough time to peel back and stretch in that location.
Spray only the lower outside and inside edge of the armrest where the new cover wraps around. This let’s you orientate the two parts initially and stretch it easier.
Remove all cracked vinyl first and scrape / sand the glued edge surfaces clean as possible before reassembly.

Mark the backside of new ‘not real leather’ cover and cut the corners. Finesse and practice this bit a lot so it easy to line up once glue is applied.

Finished product. Seams line up 8/10. Note the gluey sticky finger mark to rub off when dry.
I didn’t stretch it hard enough on one side of the semi circle cutout above the latch so there’s a bit of interference when operating latch and a squeak noise.
Reinserting the inner panel pinches it on hard and hides any ugly corners. No staples needed. Make sure the new vinyl cover is not blocking any of the mounting holes and clips for this inner panel or it won’t go back on. That’s why the initial trimming is important.
