A bargain considering the difference it makes.
If I'd known then, I wouldn't have purchased the I-Drive, rather, using that money towards the ECU upgrade.
Having said that, I would think that if you have an "SDV6" at approx 180kw, then an I-drive would probably do unless you are a horsepower junkie or want the extra hp if pulling a large caravan or load.
The I-drive made a huge difference to the car's driveability and I can thoroughly recommend one. There are a few nay sayers around who poo poo the I-drive and throttle controllers in general, but it is obvious they have never tried and experimented with the multitude of settings.
Rehashed the false floor and fridge slide removed from the Tojo Hilux today. Worked out fine, fitted foam piping front and rear to protect the upholstery. The fridge slide doubles as a easy means to secure tool boxes and makes access to them very easy.
False floor has no fixings, sits on the rubber protection mat and relies on clamping between the tail gate and the second row backs, if I ever have a need to use the rear seats it is very simple to remove.
Another job off the list, ran the air lines from compressor to air tank and from manifold to nitto fitting near my tow hitch.

My wife asked why does it say D3 and not DB…
Home safely this afternoon after a trip to the Douglas Daly. Went down Friday morning and after lunch headed into Butterfly Gorge. Got half way in on the 17km bush track past the (closed) Douglas Hot Springs and the amber brake symbol appeared under the temp indicator. CHECK BRAKE PADS appears in the message centre. Stop, check all four brake calipers and a wire falls out of the cable sleeve on the right hand rear when I touch it. HHHHHMMMM
Back we go, past the Tourist Park where we are staying and on another 8 km where I knew mobile reception would be consistent. Rang DLR and they confirmed by thoughts and said to go back and enjoy the Gorge. Too late to do that so planned to go Saturday morning until the left hand rear tyre went flat before dark that night! :Thump:
Stayed put Saturday except for a small drive along the river and a dip at a couple of lovely spots. Not a huge number of people in the tourist park but there were 3 x D4 and me there which surprised me. Tyre in for repair tomorrow morning...
Nothing exciting, got the D3 serviced on Friday and wheel alignment done. Found out this morning that one of my tyres that was on front passenger side has a fairly scrubbed shoulder. These tyres have only done just over 10 thou and Bob Jane here did the alignment at the time, plus the free one 1k later as well as the one Friday.
They said to bring it back and they will assess it.
Need to investigate turning EGRs off, had thought the GAP IID might be able to do it but does not appear so.
Got a couple of wheels painted.
