Given your mate machined up new ones he'll be able to tell you how long and what diameter the orifice is, and from that we can calculate the pressure drop at various flow rates, acknowledging that will vary significantly with the viscosity of the diesel (winter/summer blends and fluid temperature). That might give some more context with which to answer that question.

Walk in shed today. Coolant on floor, swear at car, prepare to set fire to car, pull guards off, realise I didn't push a coolant quick connect home fully about a month ago.. Lucky I didn't blow the car up.

After my 20yo GME TX3400 decided to give up just before my trip last Sunday i looked into problem solving it but got no where, found a drop-in replacement in the form of a TX3520. Fits the same bracket for the remote head so it was just plug n play, and its an 80 ch unit so now with the times.
