Sunny day so time to fix my sunroof drain issue, CJB removed and drain elbow was like new and possibly has been replaced before. Tube was so blocked up with an algae like gunk that even trimmer line wouldn't unblock it, got some thicker tube to push up then blew it out until it was clear.
CJB wasn't as hard as i had read to remove.
D4 spent weekend on tug duty to Riverland and home via Barossa.

Firstly:
I cannot thank Cambo at Old Jaguar enough for the assistance in a solution to Apple Car play / Android Auto, into a 2010/2011 D4.
He has been instrumental in finding a working solution that keeps the clock facility functional.
Now, I’ve taken this a step further, combining his kit with another to combine some additional functionality and ease of assembly.
Meet the hybrid loom, to fit my D4 MY11 with base model stereo.
I’ve shared this info with Cambo and he may have the sources to make it full plug and play (mine does require some soldering)
Combining the looms has retained clock functionality, given me Accessory switching, Park brake sensing and SWC whilst retaining clock date and time control.

I’m still waiting on another component to land in the next week for another part of my install and then it will all be fitted fully and become integrated.
The parts I’m waiting on are simply a lead and connector to install a camera connection for the camper when it’s on via the second channel of the head unit.
Here’s the head unit in its custom enclosure

Straight drop into the same cavity as the std small screen ? I am assuming the escutcheon comes out so you have the "full screen" effect.
Looks very smart.
One option is to trim the factory surround and fit the head unit.
However, I found a company that is 3d printing surrounds as a drop in solution and had them supply me one for my build.
The original small screen remains in this set up, with it relocated to the glovebox.
This gives me retention of the clock/date functions on the instrument cluster. One of my key requirements.
