Shame he used under-rated Wheels in his build.

Not following? RR wheels aren’t D4 rated?

Nope. Don’t meet minimum load rating for a D4.

Did a bit of a drive that I do on a semi regular basis, a bit over 450km return, the chalk and cheese difference between the D3 and the D2 is galaxies apart. All on black top but that's ok.

Comfort, refinement, stereo pumping and barely noticed the rather second hand bitumen in places. Just cruised on the highways and was fun to drive on the winding/hilly bits.

AND used about the same amount of fuel.

Had the transmission serviced and steel pan done yesterday just waiting on delivery of new expansion tank.

    Very happy with my acquisition.

Now - Not a Land Rover (2018 Dmax)
    Was - 2008 D3 SE 4.0l V6
    Was - 2000 D2 TD5 with much fruit.

Thanks for that. Has anyone on here done that? Photos/details of process would be great! Thanks.

Looking at the bar, I really don’t think that it’s be that hard. After mounting the discrete mount winch bracket and winch I’m pretty sure that it’s just a case of working out where the fairlead goes and mounting that.

Got the hail damage from a couple of weeks ago assessed.
Likely new bonnet if they can't get at the dings from underneath plus a few on the roof - glass roof is ok, I watched the event from the house expecting that to crack.
    Can't get fixed until mid-May.

So, my wife just managed to reverse out of our carport with the rear tail gate up and made contact with a beam. I shut the tailgate as she needed to get going to avoid being late for kids sport - but it wasnt happy about being shut as the tailgate was rubbing on the body. I think the passenger side hinge has been bent. Anyway end result is the rear upper tailgate now wont open - the release handle dosent trigger the actuator. Looks like I'm going to have to be ripping the rear trim apart to do a manual release so I can bend stuff back into shape

Likely under too much tension to release.
