Mine came into my possession like that and there is a scuff/dent on the roof so I assume the previous owner went somewhere too low and got the roof and light. The sun also affects them somewhat, but more fading than anything. I replaced mine from an aesthetic point of view.
Still not sure if I’ll come to regret it [emoji2] It’s morning, time to check if its stuck.
Had a low clearance basement carpark at work. Was a fire main above my car bay but when driving in the bonnet was below the firemain. SWMBO takes the car one day and on returning inexplicably reverses into the bay. Bullseye hit on the upper brake light to destroy it. Fortunately no body damage.Quote:

I think because you’re supposed to use a plastic primer to etch prime the light fitting to ensure protection (according to some instructions I read) but for the life of me it was too hard to get some. Probably should have just used some coarse sand paper on the mating surface to enhance stick.Quote:

Picture of my test on the one that failed after being fitted at a windscreen shop. The gutter silicon you can see still won't peel off after six months but you can see where the Sikaflex was that only lasted 2 weeks. I don't think he used the activator that he said he would get in.Quote:
