Changed fuel filter. Car in normal height because couldn’t be bothered raising it with my dodgy compressor and just lay on ground under car in carport. Still surprisingly good access and easy job with only a 10mm socket needed for belly pan and heat cover (>MY07). 30 minutes done and dusted. Nothing spilt. One of the best DIY jobs for common rail problem avoidance.

926km. No problems except tearing a Skippy to pieces.
Bloody thing is spread out all along the underside of the vehicle.
Left Whyalla at 8:15am, across to Pirie and collect a couple of bike parts, then down to Adelaide via Balaklava and Gawler to collect some finished pieces from the Powder Coaters and dropped the other parts off.
Head south of Adelaide and fix a couple of things on Mums place before heading back north, stopping to collect some timber and have a coffee before heading home.
Into the driveway at 23:59 [emoji41]
It poured and blew its guts out most of the driving, the D4 did it with ease.

Did the same job today - only to discover the water sensor had not been refitted at some stage from a prior service. Grrrr....certainly pays to do your own servicing if you can.Quote:

If your packing a multi meter, pack a set of leads that include "needles" that can get into the plugs front or behind. They used to be expensive. Very cheap now
