    What pain in the butt!

All of the bolts were captive so I either use a dremel to take the heads off or pull half the back of the vehicle apart, sigh
Hang on, what tow hitch have you got?

    Captive nuts on those aren’t a thing….
    That’s why I was puzzled.

2x Nyloc nuts under the bottom picking up the original chain points and the large main bolt and nyloc through the original recovery loop.

who ever fitted it put the bolts in with the heads captive, upside down to what the install instructions show..

the bolt thru the eye cannot be removed with the right trailer plug in place so i need to disconnect the wiring harness.

am looking further into my options and may keep it.

i have a lr hitch as well but am not sure if i'll bother now, and just make up better sensor shields.

Aren’t you the lucky winner then!
The small shields I printed and fitted work excellent.

    I’ll take a pic.

There’s two things that make a big difference to these cars that is a fresh healthy battery and EAS compressor.

I like how your cargo barrier has a place to crawl through if your tailgate get stuck.

It was mainly so i can reach in to get gear out or in but does also serve that purpose.
