Captive nuts on those aren’t a thing….
That’s why I was puzzled.
2x Nyloc nuts under the bottom picking up the original chain points and the large main bolt and nyloc through the original recovery loop.
who ever fitted it put the bolts in with the heads captive, upside down to what the install instructions show..
the bolt thru the eye cannot be removed with the right trailer plug in place so i need to disconnect the wiring harness.
am looking further into my options and may keep it.
i have a lr hitch as well but am not sure if i'll bother now, and just make up better sensor shields.

Aren’t you the lucky winner then!
The small shields I printed and fitted work excellent.
I’ll take a pic.
Bent up a couple of steel brackets to hang my compound bow from the cargo barrier, can also use them for fishing rods.![]()

Mine had a good going over and major service before our next big trip, 3 months and about 15,000 km towing the van
All fluids replaced, all filters, new rear brakes, transmission service and a EAS compressor for good measure
Next is a new set of boots to replace the KO2’s that have already driven over of good portion of the country
Discovery 1 4.6, true trac front and rear, superior engineering arms, old tourer now bush toy
Discovery 4 3.0 HSE MY13 ECB Bull bar, winch, spot lights, aux fuel tank, Kaymar rear bar, duel wheel carriers, 18 tuff ant wheels 265/65/18 BFG KO2's for play
There’s two things that make a big difference to these cars that is a fresh healthy battery and EAS compressor.Originally Posted by discomatt[emoji6[emoji640
