I bought one like the lower of the two above for my L322.
One day, it didn't work - the camera mounting had failed and it had fallen apart.

D3/4 integrated Tailgate Number Plate Reverse Cameras for aftermarket headunits
Any recommendations on suppliers for the integrated rear tailgate licence plate integrated rear reverse cameras that are comparable with aftermarket headunits (single yellow RCA output connection usually)? There seems to be a large variety of offerings from China which I imagine are not all equal in quality.

I just used a high end aftermarket unit and mounted it to the factory cover plate (where the factory camera would be)
With the amount of work required to fit the camera, buying a good one is probably money well spent. Ask me how I know.

SupporterNot as difficult to fit as I expected once I actually started, make sure you get at least a 7m cable with the camera.

I fitted a $30 cheapie a year ago and surprisingly it's still going strong. Make sure you "retain" the video connection (you only get about a metre of cable) with heat shrink or at least some tape, because mine came apart from vibration and I had to remove the upper tailgate trim a second time to reconnect.... it's annoying removing Disco trim... you always seem to bend one of those stupid trim clips. I even used all of the proper swear words which didn't work!
