Thread: 2005 TDV6 Engine System Fault - No Codes

Without codes its a bit difficult, but seems to me it may be vacuum system related, has your indie done a smoke test?

No unusual noises from the turbocharger? Could well be a failing turbo, losing boost pressure at low throttle, drops into limp mode. Weird thing is that should record a fault code you would think

Thanks for the reply. No smoke test has been performed and no noises / anything out of the ordinary. When the codes are cleared, car hammers like nothing is wrong.

He has advised that a software update may fix the issue. Taking it in this afternoon so hopefully that helps.

Jesus. No codes? None? And then changing the HPFP? What code reader are they using?

Just have pulled a code, P0183, Fuel temperature sensor. I guess that’s the next thing to try...

Gap tools won't give you a code until it's been active long enough if you don't have the correct settings in the fault codes Screen. When I split my inlet manifold I had no codes until I selected pending codes or similar.
Other tools may be the same

What are you using? IID? If so, have you enabled the Pending error codes?

That shouldn't give you engine systems failure in my experience, just restricted performance. In my case I had the sensor issue and the engine systems failure. The failure was related to a power supply fault to a sensor. The p0183 was because that particular sensor had no power supply
