Does it go off when you start moving or when the handbrake is released?

It may sound odd but on our Forester, if I pull the handbrake on slightly when driving, the passenger can access the on-screen controls for the phone and GPS. The car assumes the car is stopped. I must wire in a switch one day...

Was told could do the same handbrake trick in my aftermarket Pioneer fitted to my D2a - not that I ever tried it.
The noted idea of different screen views for driver and passenger could have some merit, but would still I suspect be a potential distraction.

Just remember - no movie screens to be visible anywhere from the front seats - rear seats only. There was the recent case where a driver was booked in the Hunter Valley because the person in the front passenger seat had a lap top open and it was considered the screen could be visible to the driver.

Ok - well do it and see how far you get if a cop is beside you - good luck when you try to fight it in court.

Why not simply give the passenger a book or some crosswords to do if they get boored.
Having a dvd going in the front is not only illegal, It is lunacy.
