Anyone know a reputable mechanic who would be able to assess an engine issue on site? It will probably need to go to a workshop for a proper diagnosis, but an initial assessment would be handy.

But give them a call and see what they say,maybe?
They would give you a definite answer,being experts on LR's.
A local mobile guy may just give you a good guess as to the problem.
