    Tow hitch for towing caravans

Hi I have a Mitch hitch tow bar set up on my disco ,are these ok for towing a 22 ft caravan semi off raid one ? They seem to hang out further than the standard ones.

it is always good to keep the towbar tongue as short as possible, redrill the pin hole for the reece hitch hole if needed.

What they said. The Mitch Hitch and recovery hitches conform to Australian standards for towering 3.5 ton. I moved away from the standard hitch when I discovered that it was only being held on by 5mm of the pin. I wasn’t happy to put my family’s life on the line and bought a recovery brand hitch. Plus on the upside my trailer tows level which makes it safer.
