    I've run mine with the safari snorkel intake facing backwards and with a filter sock on when on the beach and dusty bush tracks, crack the window open and you hear both wastegates through the intake, sounds really cool.

    As in the waste gate dumps unused/unneeded exhaust gas into the exhaust? With less sound suppression in the way (middle baffle removed), you can definitely hear a lot more engine activity through the exhaust system, wouldn't you be able to hear the 'dump' of gas with a modified exhaust?

    General question - There is only one wastegate on the primary turbo, none on the secondary, or did I get my facts wrong when reading something in the past?

    My understanding is (and I'm happy to be corrected) that both turboes are vacuum controlled waste-gate units.

He literally just cut off the baffle and stuck a straight section in it's place, leaving the tailpipe mufflers in place. Nothing special.

    It is quite a different sound and I think the car is running a bit better, which I was told may occur as the engine will breathe better. I could be imagining things though ... LOL!!!

    You do hear a lot of waste gate action and gear changes .... especially as the 8 speed changes so often. The car has a definite rumble sound now :-).

    ...... and apparently you can hear the secondary turbo ....
    Do/did they just weld a section in or flange each end?

    They just welded a Y shaped pipe in place which joined the two existing tailpipes with mufflers to the straight section that comes from the engine end.
