Most likely sand in the seals at the top of the door where the windows goes down into the door.
Just pull the seals back from the glass and clean - compressed air, brush.
If you do nothing the grit will eventually scratch the glass.

My drivers window has started squeaking badly when lowering ever since spending a week on Fraser last month.
I'm guessing it's sand worked its way down into the mechanism.
Has anyone had anything similar or any suggestions on how to fix?
I'd like not to be stripping the whole door down
Thanks.

Then once the glass is scratched, toothpaste will hopefully polish them out.
I’ve found too that sometimes the vacuum won’t draw the sand out as the seal has a sort of fibrous texture to it so I run a paddle pop stick or something similar along the seal to flick the sand off
