    Cheap roof platform options

    I have just bought a 2010 Discovery 4 2.7 and loving it.
It currently has Rhino vortex racks that are fitted on tracks. I understand the tracks are factory fitted short track ( could be wrong )
I am wanting to fit a generic steel flat or tradie style platform to these tracks. I dont know if the track design is LR specific or are they universal, and what type of mounting system could I use.
I am on a budget so cant afford pro speed or similar
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I wanted to see. Is it just 2 mounts each side and are they high tensile bolts ?

Yes 2 but ideally 3, just stainless M10 with rivnuts in the rack and some alloy square washers to clamp the rail.

    Hi Ramrod,

Almost any rhino feet will fit your factory rear tracks. I also added Rhino front tracks Rhino RTS502F they should be about $100 -130.
with those you can use any rhino feet (Rhino RLTP for the back & RLTF fronts with 2 spacers) and almost any generic rack.
I am using Tracklander full cage. Extremely low profile and versatile but but scratching my head on how to mount a roof light bar as its too low .. plus cleaning your roof is a pain

Another option is Front Runner. I have a full length Front Runner platform with camping table on slides under the table. But if you wanted to use a cheaper platform, you can buy the Front Runner feet and legs only (6 of each) quite cheaply - and almost any platform available will bolt to them.
