Whip it out. We don't need it. Just means the liver drips continually into the digestive system, instead of being stored in the gall bladder, to go rotten.

I have a D2a with 335k on the clock, I plan on keeping it for almost ever. I'll get rid if it, maybe when the engine dies. Then again a rebuilt TD5 is easy enough to do. If the car is written off, I'd look at buying a D4, maybe, and keep that car, until it too dies.
It seems to me pointless to spend large amount of money on a brand new car, when the current car is going well.

Seeing those K's tick over the 300,000k mark got me to thinking, where to now?
I am wondering should I keep it, or move it on and get something else a little newer.
That said, I could just keep plugging away with the D4, which, by the way, is not too shabby. It has only ever let me down once (recently and in fairness that was a brake light switch) so I really do not have lack of confidence in the D4. It has been serviced to the LR Arduous Conditions Schedule (13,000km intervals) from new, which is way better than the norm. If anything is has been over serviced. But I am still left wondering what may be around the corner if you get my drift?
Haven't really seen anything that takes my fancy at the moment.........but the old brain cells have awakened.........a little at least.
Just chiming in - 337,000kms so far. bought New as well - 2011 Disco 4 (HSE 3.0 SDV6) and keeps on going and love it. Lucky so far - but have had the turbos re built - but they leak and are being re fitted with new factory ones under warranty. Manifold cracked and replaced at 260,000. about to do the turbos as mentioned/ also 2nd timing belt with HPFP etc. Maybe a another set of air struts/shocks all round.

We do long drives in most cases so no real stop start.

only minor other issues - but suspect the g box or TC is under pressure - its a big one to rebuild. Unfortunately trade it or sale is going to hurt - no matter what we do - it will stay in the family

any one who gets in it feels it drives like new.
