    Body/Suspension Creak

    Hi
My Disco 4 2016 has developed a very annoying "creak".
    Passenger side, rear.
It mainly occurs at slow-med speeds, when you apply the brakes.
As the weight shifts forward, she creaks like an old sailing ship.
Its annoying the **** out of me.

Can't see or feel any loose suspension components.
It sound like its in the body.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers Vin

    Body/Suspension Creak

Déjàvu I just posted same noise issue groan especially in tight car park manoeuvres. Will replace roll bar bushes and links shortly as starting point.

I was lowered in an underground car park and it gave real loud groan today gave me a fright.

I just had a scary situation come up with my 16.5

Had it in at Autocode Perth for a tune and EGR delete. While it was in there I asked for a minor service to be performed.

Anyway while inspecting, they found that the right rear Toe-Link bolt was partially out, and bent. If it had come fully out it could have been catastrophic with no toe control on that wheel.

Now fixed, the deflection when braking or accelerating in motion is gone. Also the clunk entering my driveway is gone, and the car is now tracking true on the freeway

    Phew!

    Recently wheel aligned by chance?
Those bolts should IMO be replaced when adjustments are made.

Not uncommon for these to fail. I used to carry a spare and replaced them at one stage as preventative maintenance.

Taking it in to have all bushes etc checked and 4 wheel alignment.
Get the full under carriage checked.
Its done 115,000 kms, some of which were pretty harsh.

Spend a grand now to keep it in shape for a few more years.
    Cheers Vin
