Errrrrrr yes with a small [emoji637][emoji638]V battery applied to the trigger wires + & - there was the smell of burning plastic from the region of the relay which briefly translated to the spotlights turning on. I think that’s not what it’s meant to do.Quote:

I could hear fizzing yesterday because my head was inside the cabin flicking the switch but today supplying power at the trigger the melt down was in front of me with smell. Boiling hot to the touch it was cooking up under the big heat shrink wrap under the relay where all the wires terminate.Quote:

My guess is that they're probably using the same dud relays that bro had trouble with years ago when we installed a cheap Kings light bar to his Patrol.
Took some guesswork/tracing, so I replaced the no-name relay with a proper relay(probably Narva) i had spare, and ..... voila!
One of the reasons I have a collection of relays. I grab the original fitment ones every chance I get. Cheap ones are rubbish often. Can't carry the stated load.Quote:
