    Upgrading Tyres

Hi all, just looking for some infomation on upgrading tyres on my D3, currently running 255/60/18s Stock, want to put all terrains or similar, was thinking going to a 265/65/18,
Question is what will fit under the car where the spare lives now has anybody upgraded and been able to fit Ats under the car, or will I need to get a swing arm for anything bigger that I have on now.

    Thanks in advance

265/65/18 will fit as a spare but will need to be deflated. 265/60/18 will fit without needing deflation.

I went 265/65/18 Cooper AT3s LT but wish I had only gone the 265/60/18 due to the spare tyre hassle.

I'm running 265/60/18 Toyo Open Country A/T's and am very happy with them. They are much quieter than the Mickey Thompsons I had on previously, and are particularly better in the wet.
The spare would fit under the vehicle if I didn't have a 100 litre fuel tank under there - so it lives on a wheel carrier on the back.

Its a hard one, i would love to go to a 275/65 but then that means either a wheel carrier or carrying on the roof.
Wheel carrier is a maybe and i'll probably make my own.

275/65r18 are on mine...wheel carrier plus space for the long range tank... gives the Disco a nice stance

    Hi Loanrangie,
Dec 2005/2006 D3 clearance is fine for 99% of driving. running GOE rods... only rub on full lock and tight off road angle, speeding fast over a hump or a deep rut/ sand at stockton beach
but all that has never given me trouble in any of my off road and touring duties... has always kept up/out performed with locked and lifted Toyotas
