I know on the D2 with a standard bumper you can’t fit 265/75/16 but with a Bull bar you can. Wasn’t sure if the standard bullbar (which sits quite close to the body in choosing to an aftermarket bar) changes the angles and compatible tyre sizes.Quote:

The 255/65R19 new size from the Defender - it’s 32.1” equivalent. Issues with rubbing? I know it would need to be deflated to get the spare in, but much else to worry about?

And for the record 285 60R 18 (697s on mine and about 31.5" diameter) with an ARB bull bar are just a little too big and rub on full lock, articulation etc (were on the car when bought). no doubt someone will be able to confirm how badly, and I've also heard that if I lose all air suspension, they'll rub on the wheel arch inners - don't know how badly or if a show stopper!
That is my only worry with bigger rubber, getting stuck on the bumpstops and rubbing the liners and possibly rear AC pipes.Quote:

I’m trying to think of when you’d actually drive it on the bump stops anyhow for any length of time. If you were off road, chances are your limited height would get you stranded anyhow, so the idea you can drive it out on the bump stops isn’t really feasible. I guess on the road you could, but I wouldn’t and would just get it towed home on my roadside assist.Quote:

Thats why I bought and fitted the EAS kit and carry an air compressor with me all the time. Unless a bag splits you can pump the car up and still drive.
Speaking of EAS. There was a thread 6 months or a year ago where someone had listed all the necessary components so you could build your own EAS kit. Would someone be able to post a link to it please? I’ve looked but I can’t find it.
