Evening all.
First noticed on a trip to Coffs Harbour, Novemberish when the Qld border opened. Fueled up after 400 or so klicks and 200/250ish klicks later at Coffs the gauge still showed full. Wife driving and don't know the trip computer DTG (trip computer range) numbers.
Next day gauge as expected and DTG numbers as one would expect (dropped). Gauge has seemed ok since then. ( I think)!
Back to yesterday, stopped on a nose high slope for several minutes to wait for traffic and I noticed the fuel gauge had gone from 1/4ish to half full with a 150/180ish increase in DTG. Don't really know if it happened on the slope or not! I do know the gauge continued to climb a small bit on the way home and then started to drop.
On the 35 klick trip home the gauge returned very slowly to the correct level and the range dropped off to about what I would expect.
Historically speaking the gauge does not move off full for a 100 or so klicks and I've watched the range numbers on filling go up as expected and then stop increasing even though I've added more fuel. I usually fill to the top of the neck, a hangover from our D2.
Over the eight years we've owned the car the range displayed has been pretty much as I expected and I often calculate the fuel consumption and it's pretty much as the trip computer has shown. Have just filled the tank and the the liters added was sort of as I expected.
Really have no idea what to do, local repairman is still on Christmas holidays (obviously charges too much, LOL)!
As an aside we both love the car and I would like to hang onto it for a lot longer as the new Disco is too small to tow our equipment. Need to buy a suitable computer for it and manual, any suggestions.

Thanks to all in expectation of the help and advice as my other posts here have always yielded great info.
