    Discovery 4 2010 3.0 TDV6 HSE

Hi guys, I’m having an issue with the windscreen washer hose, specifically the bit that runs up from the washer bottle through the wheel arch through a rubber grommet. The rear washer stopped spraying and I finally decided to look at it today and there are two hoses that pass through this grommet along with cables and they have both broken. Has anyone repaired anything like this before and do you know if this hose can be purchased as a spare part? I was thinking of taking a trip down to Bunnings and buying Retic hose and connectors to see if this would repair it. The hose seems to be crumbling as you handle it and I’m worried that I’ll have to dismantle the bulkhead and interior to get to this hose if it deteriorates further. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you want genuine, it’s all purchasable from a dealer or online. I recently replaced my pump and all under bonnet hoses and sprays with factory components after mine blocked from contamination

Just a warning. The rear window washer hose runs up the left hand side A pillar and under the roof, attached to the top of the roof liner, along the left hand side about 6" in. You wouldn't want it crumbling and leaking up there.

It’s likely only crumbling where it’s exposed to high heat levels in the bay. I doubt very much the whole hose is bad.

Auto parts shops should sell good quality small rubber hose in several sizes. Get a name brand you have heard of. These hoses are designed for under bonnet temperatures and are oil and grease resistant. They should last a long time .
Repco probably has joiners for the small hoses if neede

What they said. Retic hose is NOT suitable, get automotive vacuum hose or specific washer tubing and connectors.
