    Which air compressor

    Hi folks,
Not that I’m having any problems, but I would like to buy and install new suspension Air compressor into my car. Original is nearly 9 years old now and I like to be pre-E634D875-EC31-44DF-A6A3-D384E3CC6D1B.jpgAB275806-9011-4375-89E2-5D0E38C3B967.jpg46A495E7-A2BD-46AA-BD6D-0B1389274BF6.jpgE087CBAF-4B77-436A-BE68-010676D98CEC.jpgE634D875-EC31-44DF-A6A3-D384E3CC6D1B.jpgAB275806-9011-4375-89E2-5D0E38C3B967.jpg46A495E7-A2BD-46AA-BD6D-0B1389274BF6.jpgE087CBAF-4B77-436A-BE68-010676D98CEC.jpgemptive. I am no mechanic but I have managed to remove APT protector and then removed plastic cover. Never having seen one before how do I tell which compressor is fitted? I can see no labels or identifying marks at all. I’m loathe to pull it out any further until I get new one. I I’ll try and attach some photos to see if it can be identified.
    thanks

My apologies, seem to have uploaded photos twice and they are mingled with text? Hope it all makes sense

I can tell you its NOT and AMK. More thank likely a Hitachi, but its been that long since i've had one of them i don't recall what they look like.

Being a Hitachi, most on here will tell you to rebuild rather than to replace. Also, if you do replace consider sticking with Hitachi style rather than AMK. AMK is less serviceable.

As others have said - get a full rebuild kit and rebuild it - will go on and on and on with rebuilds.

My car is currently sitting on its bump stops.

I did the rebuild kit about 6 months ago on the Hitachi but now the compressor has given up. I have a 2012 with 148,000kms on it.

Will probably bight the bullet and now just install a new AMK compressor.

    cheers
