Same dillema exactly, albeit half a world away. Terrein in question is rocky desert, lots of gnarly stones and sharp ledges that will chew my 19s to breakfast if I dare lower pressure. So I got this advise to raise pressure. yup, raise. given we are talking hard packed and dry ground, the Terrein response including rear locker can reasonably compensate for the reduced traction. yes ride will be a bit less comfy.
so my question is, did anyone try this tactic? does it save tires? what pressure worked for you? My tires are AT, no MTs available here.
