Park brake switch
I've reassembled the dash area of my 05 Disco to the point where I feel that I can start investigating the electrical problems. A lot of space has been given to the park brake system generating multiple fail messages, so I thought that's a good place to start.
I removed the park brake switch from the centre console and did a continuity check across all 6 pins with the switch in centre/on/off positions - open circuit indicated in all combinations. Am I missing something? The switch form my second car gave the same result also.

I think you will find it is not a traditional mechanical switch, but rather uses microswitches and a circuit board to generate different signals.
