    EAS Emergency Air-Up Kit

We’re doing some remote touring in our 2013 D4 after the big Red Bash in July. I like the idea of being able to bypass the EAS in the event of system failure. Does anyone know where I could purchase an emergency air-up kit (I know GOE is no longer in business), or the parts required and where to buy them? I’ve got a fair idea of what’s involved with regard to the modifications, just need to get the parts.

    Thanks,
    Larry

Hi Larry, not sure where you are but do a search for pneumatic component supplier, usually also hydraulics as well in your area. Go and ask them for 6mm airline, (2m should be enough), tube to tube straight and 90° joiner, ( a couple each) 6mm to 1/8 BSPT straight connector ( a couple of those) you might want to consider a tube to tube "Y" connector, and a couple of 6mm plugs.
Should get you out of trouble if you have some sort of failure.
Just as important would be to have a read of the workshop manual so you have an idea of where various components are located and a diagnostic tool (GAP or similar) is going to be pretty useful as well.
Hope this is a start for you.

I might have a list of what you’re after. Send me a PM tomorrow and I’ll see what I can do
