What is this silver box please

Any one know what the silver box with 2 ties around it and a top and bottom cable is please?
It's in the left hand rear panel just above where the jack would normally reside.
There is also a small black switch just to the rear of the CIG plug above, which I was told was an on/off switch for when you have a fridge or similar attached, but?

I'm in the process of setting up to do the resistor mod for LED fitted trailers.

Definitely not factory fitted. Try switching the switch then start the engine and indicate. If you then get the trailer symbol the resistor mod has already been done.

Or it might be a low voltage cutout.

I personally would open up the box and have a look.

Yes, I wondered about that possibility - will have to hook up the LED trailer when I can get to it and see what happens.

No stickers, not eve any inscribing, just a black cable in and out.

Shouldn’t need to hook up a trailer.

Just flick switch on and go try an indicator.

I agree with everyone else. I have the same except mine has something about being an led trailer module on it. You don’t need the trailer connected, just flick the switch next to the power point and you should get the trailer symbol flashing in time with the indicators. It should also turn the reversing sensors off.

You will all be pleased to hear you were right and the mod has already been done! It was the fancy enclosed box that threw me!
Anyone need a LED trailer kit going very cheap as in free, rather than have it sit here for years unused. I've actually ended up with 2 sets of pairs of resistors and 3 way switches - none of which I can think of an alternative use for, given the plan is the tug is not having many mods done.

My only other hassle is that a local auto sparky firm fitted for the PO wiring for towing plus an extra rear Anderson plug, but put all the active connections just in front of the starter battery. Will have to undo much of that to fit Tim's dual battery system in that spot (unless I leave the second battery to sit in the back in an ARK case?)
