    Roof Rack Holes

I've sold my Rhino Rack and I'm putting a different one on so I will be left with some extra holes in the roof. They are pop rivet holes from the Rhino installation and I want to know the best way to block them up again. I was thinking aluminium pop rivets with silicon sealant. Or has someone a better idea? Thanks.

You'll have to explain that one a bit better. Are you talking about plastic plug of some sort?

So you are talking the tracks rather than the actual rack. Why not leave the track there - surely the new rack can bolt up to the old Rhino tracks - I have a Thule Rack on my Rhino Tracks.

They have there own system, sort of like Rhinos backbone and they bolt directly into the factory holes

Sorry not following - in that case why didn't you just leave the original LR strips in place and bolt the Rhino racks through LR strips at the access spots to the bolt points in the roof.

Any way, it sounds as if you pulled off/cut the original LR trims and put some sort of Rhino trim on and if the same as the Rhono tracks then yes the plastic caps on either end are pop rivetted on. I guess you are intending to put the original LR trims back. As the Rhono trim was just pop rivetted on then I would do as you suggest just put a pop rivett with some sealant and put the new trim over the top.

However pics on what you are trying to do would help.

This is looking to the rear of the car and you can see a pop rivet at the far end. I will be removing this current track so will need to fill in the pop rivet hole. That's all I need to know, the best way to do that. I'm not after info on how to mount a roof rack as it's a different brand and mounts differently to the Rhino.
