I have a traxide controller and an Anderson plug at the back of the D4.
I’ve putting in an Enerdrive DCDC controller in the van so the Anderson will supply the feed for that.
As I’ve got a Lithium battery bank in the car I need to run an ignition sense wire from the DCDC controller to an ignition on/off source so the lithium doesn’t drain the aux battery when the car is not on. I thought pin 6 on the 12s white socket (fridge) was an ignition switched output but I don’t get 12v on that pin when the car is on. On the 12s pin 3 is an always active pin but that wont suit my needs.
Can anyone confirm if Pin 6 is switched and why I might not be getting power to it when the car is off. I’ve checked what I think is the right fuse (54 lower panel 15A) and that is OK.
The D4 doesn’t have fuses in that location. My old D3 did. Still searching…
I’m thinking I’ll have to check my rear 12v socket. That was rewired when i put my traxide kit in. Maybe that is the issue as that socket used to be ignition switched
That’s not it either…
Plan B if I cant work out why that ignition fed pin is not working.. Wire from the rear aux socket which is ignition fed to pin 6 on the 12s trailer pin. Not my preferred option though. I’ll use that feed to run a relay internally in the van to switch the 12v Anderson feed on or off.
I think I misread the capability of the Enerdrive DC2DC device in that it doesn’t actually switch the device on or off when the ignition feed wire is live or not but instead just forces the unit to use the 12v feed from the car battery.
If you grab the wiring diagram and the connector location map you’ll be able to follow it through. Do you at least have 12v on one side of fuse 54?
I’ll have a look at that tomorrow. That will be handy to know.
