Looks pretty schmick to me - if the service history is up to spec I'd go for it! Transmission fluid change if not already done.

If you can get me the VIN and rego number I can do a check for you. Firstly, it is a base model without parking sensors and rear aircon. Not sure about sound system or whether it has an e-diff. It has certainly done some towing and is due for a timing belt change. And I would recommend a full gearbox service and fluid changes for brakes, diffs, transfer case and coolant. So, probably allow $5k for a complete mid life service. By now brake fluid and drive train oils (except gearbox) should have been done under dealer servicing, probably about 40k kms ago. Wouldn't hurt do do it all again by now anyway.

I might be mistaken with the following so happy to be corrected:

It has rear parking sensors. The sound system is listed as the Meridian Stereo. It's done some towing as the hitch is fitted and cover removed but it doesn't seem to have a brake controller fitted so not heavy towing. Coolant not needed until 10 years.

Does need timing belt on time (7years). And if planning to keep longer term, a transmission service is advisable.

It looks a good car on the face of it. Can't comment on the price as I haven't been following the market, but if it's at the market then it it seems a good option.

Thanks for clarifying, I meant front sensors. BTW, check to see if it has the rear parking camera setup which is handy for hitching up a trailer. I would recommend changing the coolant and coolant bottle plus the water pump when doing the timing belts. I would also recommend replacing the coolant manifold, preferably with an aluminium one, at the same time. But that's just me...

    Nephew rejected it.
Interior was filthy, stunk of cigarette smoke and generally not looked after.
It also had a current Stradie park sticker on it and the place that was selling it said that he took tours over to Stradie often,
so the underneath would have been in pretty rough state if it was like the interior.
Shame as he said the engine/gearbox were good.

So if anyone is selling there disco 4 soon, please let me know so I can tell my nephew.
Price up to $50,000 only as thats all he can afford.

    cheers
