Static Sound and Bluetooth issues with Disco 4 sound system

Hi, I am having issues with my LD4 sound system, sometimes I can go months without an issue, sometimes it happens every few days, and sometimes as with the video, it happens all the time, if I disconnect the battery typically both bluetooth and radio work for a while, then bluetooth drops after a few hours, then the radio can start doing this dropping out and static sound, the bluetooth never comes back after that, but the radio works and this drop out static issue happens intermittently.

I don't know if the bluetooth is damaged and needs replacing, or if thats even possible (where the BT receiver is) as thats is where the problem first started, then this static issue began a few months later and is intermittent.

Has anyone seen this? Any advice? I checked the fuse, pulling that does the same as disconnecting the battery, everything works, after a few hours BT drops, then radio issue.

    Many thanks

Video links below, one is when the radio is powered off and the other when it's on.

This type of fault is very difficult to diagnose, experience says it will probably be a capacitor in the circuitry failing. Only way will be to remove unit from vehicle and do a bench test subjecting the unit to cold and heat stress which usually results in being able to identify which component is failing.

There have been a number of cases of the Bluetooth unit failing and causing issues. Id start there given the other symptoms. You can get a fibre loop back connector so you can disconnect the unit and keep the rest of the system functional while you test to see if that unit is the cause. Do a forum search for more info.
