I don't know if the bluetooth is damaged and needs replacing, or if thats even possible (where the BT receiver is) as thats is where the problem first started, then this static issue began a few months later and is intermittent.

Has anyone seen this? Any advice? I checked the fuse, pulling that does the same as disconnecting the battery, everything works, after a few hours BT drops, then radio issue.

This type of fault is very difficult to diagnose, experience says it will probably be a capacitor in the circuitry failing. Only way will be to remove unit from vehicle and do a bench test subjecting the unit to cold and heat stress which usually results in being able to identify which component is failing.
