Steering wheel controls - what is it?

Hi there, anyone know what the top left buttons are used for? I purchased upgraded steering wheel controls from eBay. Original LR. I’ve installed the controls and everything else works just fine. Not sure what I should be looking out for or if I’ve missed something.

Steering wheel controls - what is it?

Looks like controls for radar based adaptive cruise control to increase or decrease the set distance to the car in front. Presumably from a RRS.

Yep. I just added them to mine. I was *hoping* to be able to use them on my CarPlay setup, but didn’t check first. The left hand buttons go somewhere else. The right hand buttons go to the audio head unit.

I just pretend they arm the rockets and fire to take out muppets. My 7 year old has the routine down pat. “Dickhead driver daddy? Arm rockets, wait for it, Fire!”

Thanks all. I’m not familiar with adaptive cruise control. Is it worth having? Can it be retrofitted to a D3?

or do I keep the rocket launcher for muppets?

And if she's ever annoying you, just activate the child eject button...
