    Hitachi rebuild kit

    Gday All,

long shot I know but before I go overseas to purchase a rebuild kit for the hitachi compressor , I thought I would check to see if anyone on here has either I they no longer need or a spare they haven’t used.

Not expecting a freebie so can PM me if you like with your price .

    Thanks in advance

Make sure you also get an aluminium end cap for the desiccant chamber - the old 'plastic ' ones normally develop cracks and are often not included in rebuild kits - also consider a new exhaust valve and housing - again often not included in kits.

Thanks Gary already replaced the cap as got caught with the dreaded crack a few years back.

Will look into the exhaust side.

    Hi
I sort of have the X8R kit but it's actually on the compressor..long story short - i rebuilt my compressor but it was still producing only about a 1/3 of the output so ended up getting a new AMK. The Hitachi with the new filters etc was run for about an hour post rebuild so the new bits etc have not had much use.

If you want to nab them from me and go with them you're welcome to the old compressor for free - you'd need to strip[ it down to recover the O rings etc, but the new filters for the desiccant can are just sitting on the bench....
