I'd be checking all the earths and power supply, particularly affecting the various computers.

Do a quick test, start the car and once it's running touch the brake pedal. If it lights up right away it's the brake switch.
If possible try and drive it without using the brakes and once moving try it.

Basically all the systems you've indicated sit on the high speed CAN bus and chat frequently. If one of them stops doing that due to a fault, all will **** the bed.

Could be anything from a blown tail light bulb through to the high pressure fuel pump (in order of cost).

Each of these ECUs has a comprehensive diagnostic and will record the fault codes. Most of them will say "communication fault" and one of them will have one or more credible faults. Unfortunately without a code reader you're destined to stumble around in the dark throwing expensive parts at the vehicle and getting increasingly frustrated.

Unless you live miles from anywhere, chances are someone "relatively" close to you has a device that will read codes.

    Cool Feeling your Pain

We had this problem last year, still resolving issues.
    Have changed
    EGR (Both)
    Turbo hoses
Standard service items like coolant, oil filter, oil etc
    Fuel Filter
    HPFP
    LPFP
    Integrated Transfer Case then reflashed
    Fuel Injectors
    MAF
    MAP
    Fuel Rail Sensor
    Brake Light Switch
    Battery
It has been a bit of a journey, all started with the car when accelerating uphill dropping power. Started changing the easy stuff. Then had the full set of christmas tree lights and limp mode coming back through the Adelaide Hills. Managed to find enough flat roads to get home at 80kmh or less.
I suspect changing the battery helped a lot.
On the weekend driving back from down south the E
SF and low power again. Pulled over cycled everything through and it cleared enough to drive home.
I now treat everything we fix as one step closer.

Anyone have any suggestions on codes P023D P132B P0331 U0401 This is the most recent set.

    Good luck!

Sounds like you've changed everything except the headrests.

P023D - MAP / Boost correlation. It's not seeing the Boost pressure it's expecting for the conditions.
P132B - Turbo vane actuator issue. Would explain ^^^
    P0331 - Knock sensor

I see you haven't changed the turbo yet. Maybe jump on the Disco3UK site and read some of the posts on wiggling the turbo actuator to see if it's stuck. Keyhole surgery through the passenger side wheel well.

Check the plug on the left hand bank knock sensor.

    Same issue

I have just been through the same issue. O2 sensor was the first code to come up, then after a while the rest beep and lose the plot. O2 on Bank 2 sensor 1 was my codes. I finally received my scan tool today and cleared the codes, knowing that the O2 sensors will need to be replaced soon, yet to take it out and see what becomes. Mine is 4.0 Petrol Auto Disco 3.

    Thanks Brad
We have played with the actuator.
LR Dealer tells me we don't have a knock sensor bases on the VIN so this one has us a bit puzzled. Might have to pull some bits off this weekend and look!
It is going in for a turbo check next week. Vehicle has done 180,000km (mostly on road) really hoping we don't need to do the turbo at this point. Although we will start a plan.
I have looked on the Disco3UK site & the South African forum as well. That is useful because we co not have some of the issues that come from salting roads in the UK

It looks like the EU3 did and the EU4 didn't have knock sensors, but knowing LR/Ford it wouldn't surprise me if there was some exceptions to that rule. Always an interesting journey.

We have a 2007/MY08 EU4. Well before 180,000km it had a new donk, new turbo and new EGR valves (all at different times). It had never been off-road.
