D4 Upgrade to Electric Seats with memory

I posted some of this in my build thread but a dedicated topic thread is probably of some use.

The old manual seats were getting very tired, discoloured and dirty as well as padding being squished and less comfortable.
So rather than spend money on rejuvenation I decided to take on the project of upgrading to electric seats.
Secondhand seats sourced from Triumph Rover Spares were in very good condition considering they're around 10 years old, certainly in better nick than mine.
2014 TDV6 and the donor seats are 2010 (best guess).

Not too difficult but there's a few things to be aware of, including needing to swap over your own seat belt pre-tensioners c/w looms and connector plugs.
I was also careful to understand how the loom moved with the seat and added some extra protection given that the range seemed to be greater than the manual seats.

Being a glutton for punishment I also decided to add the memory function, which means swapping the module in the door card, also purchased from TRS.
I didn't know it going in but for me the memory functionality was already included within door loom & car loom because it just worked after making appropriate CCF edits.
I don't believe this is always true for older model years, as detailed in Disco3 threads that I was using as a key reference.

So easier than the guys who documented the upgrade in the UK at this thread:
DISCO3.CO.UK - View topic - *UPDATE* Retro fit memory seat update

My mirrors are not power-fold so the mirror positioning memory function doesn't work.
This doesn't bother me as I was really only chasing memory function for seat position anyway.

Seat belt pre-tensioner is a separate item with own part number according to TRS, apparently always sold separately by them and even when buying new from LR.
I don’t know if there’s any compatibility issues but I’m quite happy to have kept the devices as they were, just swapped over to replacement seats.
The mounting detail and position was identical.

I've found the electric seats noticeably different in a good way, better supporting. And keep in mind these are 10 year old seats I’ve put in. They’re clearly used but in excellent condition.
Also, I figure if they ever start to feel sagged or otherwise subpar I can get the cushioning redone and it’ll be worth it, now that all the electrics are installed. I was reasonably confident because our 16 year old HSE D3 electric seats are still very good but perhaps a seat base refresh is on the cards (for the D3).

    Cheers,
    Scott

Nice work. Looks like a good upgrade.

I can only give you total cost of seats, memory switch pack and courier shipping to Brisbane = $1887
    Non-memory seats are cheaper.

CCF changes are done with a suitable diagnostic tool. I have a Gap iiD BT. This is not something you can change in the dash menu system
