Do not leave the tool connected permanently. Disconnect after use as per the user manual. If you forget to close the App or a non covered situation occurs, it could drain the battery.
I have had mine connected since 2017 not long after I bought. Never had a problem personally as I always close and disconnect the tool through the app. What he says is quite true in that if you don't "disconnect" through the app it will keep looking for your phone and will drain your battery. Caveat emptor as they say . Your choice, but in my case I used it frequently to lower the suspension down to bump stops to make it easier for my late wife to enter and leave the car.

Also monitoring a parameter using the dash prevents it from allowing the car to sleep, resulting in a jump start required. Not that I’d know from personal experience
