I just did a little test on my MY12 4.4 TDV8 L322.
With the battery monitor disconnected from the battery's earth terminal the battery voltage with engine running hovered around 13.55/13.56V with lights off, lights on low beam and lights on high beam, but voltage rose to 13.60V once the lights were switched off. A charging system fault was displayed after a short while but not immediately.
With the battery monitor reconnected the voltage was 14.44V with lights off, low beam or high beam.
The vehicle had been started several times for very short periods today after last having been driven Friday morning. An aux battery is charged via a VSR which had cut-in on both test instances before any voltages were checked.
