    Alternator compatibility

Here's one for the body of the Kirk... I'm looking to change my alternator at the next service - 200k, I want to do it preventatively and keep the old one for emergencies when touring.

Mine's a 2015 TDV6 3.0 Diesel. I think that the recommended part is LR077395 - but am having issues finding one in stock. That said, Advanced Factors in the UK have LR076696 available at a good price. This is recommended for RRS from 2013, and is coming up under a Discovery 4 parts search. It's also 180 Amp, so should help run everything hanging off the bus. Does anyone know for sure if:

    a) the mounting bolt brackets are compatible?
    b) The extra power (or any other electronic issues) make it a non-starter (cue suitable puns here...)

Thanks to all. I'm mechanically capable of getting it on if it'll fit, but my electronics knowledge for the inside spinny bits and their magic is pretty non-existent...

Send AF an email with your VIN and that exact question, they will come back to you with a definitive answer.

Edit; ust checked AF website it does list that one and a Denso oem unit for around the same price. Good value. I have never had an issue with AF, so I'd be reasonably confident this is correct for your vehicle.
