    Landy owners - advice needed

    hi all,

I am keen to purchase this landy, but not having owned one before, and pretty cautious about engine replacements and related issue, would very much appreciate your advice on the purchase of a landy.

This one is a 2012 Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 SE Auto 4x4 MY12, with engine replaced and 6000 km on clock.

Can I safely purchase and what should I ask/look out for, please!?

    why was engine replaced?

Was it neglect or a random implosion. If random was it a repaired rebuilt donk or replacement?

other than that - everything that breaks on these cars is the same as any other car with relevant mileage - really general wear and tear -

I have a D3 V8 with 340K and have maintained via british offroad - they let me know what needs doing and when and it keeps rolling along very nicely.

everything from brakes, suspension, bearings etc same as other heavy 4WD but the additional benefit of Air suspension components including Air pump should be factored in if you intend to keep for a while.

Personally suggest the petrol variants do not have the issues the diesels do .. with crank 'stuff' and also all the high pressure fuel pump and turbo additional maintenance and repair issues.

    Great vehicles though for sure.
