I'm going to do the same as Scarry said above, move on to a different brand.... maybe/probably the unbreakable unstoppable kind. 114 kay on the clock and great to drive but these tales of woe are too much for me so decision time is looming as to what to go for.

Amputating your leg instead of clipping your nail, a bit drastic if you don't actually have any issues.

Probably but I have been known to change my mind. Depends a bit on what I can get for it, I'm not lacking in funds but the Cook might have a bit to say if I squander too much brass.

    Hey ATH

I don’t have the coin to make the move to the LC200 or 300

But if you do decide to sell your D4 look me up

    What is it BTW?

    $30ish K to refresh to a 2015-16 D4 with sag 80k on the clock
That would be a bargain... Unless you have one lined up, or are offsetting the sale of an existing vehicle, I'd add about 20k to my planning figure for a late D4 under 100k at the moment: they're averaging about $55 plus in that bracket on carsales...

(edit, just searched on 2014-2016, up to 80k: nationally, 23 vehicles, ranging from $88k to $59k asking price. You'll bargain, but you won't get down below my estimate of 55, I would think...)

I think he means a 30k difference not 30k for his vehicle.

aha! my bad... Morning. reading prior to caffeine ingestion!

On the original topic, I've literally just had my coolant crossover pipe done, with a full fluid flush, and all the throttle body gaskets etc replaced, as part of a larger service. Even assuming it swallowed 1/3rd of the total labour costs, that still only totalled about $450 all up... So the original quotes are high.
