I had them on mine from new. It was a Demo model from Barbagallo and had a few "extras" which were normally "options" already installed.

I did not like the look of these rubber strips and removed them virtually the first week I had the vehicle. There was some marking left from the double sided tape, but that came off easily enough with a bit of heat and a plastic scraper, followed by a good polish.

Thanks Paul, we did just short of 10,000 K's and pulling our camper we got 8.38 litres per 100 k's going up and 7.75 K's per 100 coming home via the inland route. The computer showed between 10.5 and 12.5 per 100. I originally doubted the fuel used and have double checked it with our bank card and redone the sums. The same figures come up so a lot less than the defender at 12.5 L/100 K's.

    Lindsay.

Just a thought, 8.38 k's per litre is very close to 12 litres per 100 k's.

Might be a high chance the figures are mixed

That's my only concern, because they are low on the door and the colour it is I think it should be ok.

I am thinking of heating it a bit with a heat gun and sticking it back with sikiflex, I could even lightly clamp it with the door open till the sikiflex cures.
Just wondering if anyone has clues or has done it.
    Lindsay.
My '08 D3 has those as well and they are attached to the door with plastic clips that sit in holes drilled through the door skin. Mine came adrift and I thought of tossing them until I saw the holes and clips . I ended up buying new clips from Ebay and refitted the strip to the door. This involves stripping the innards from the door since access is needed on both sides of the door skin. Mine is a genuine fitment but I hope yours is an aftermarket stick on accessory which should be easy enough to re-stick rather than the drama of pulling the door apart like mine. Good Luck . . .

I have these, it’s 3M. Don’t pressure blast them! It will potentially start separating.

I had mine fitted during a service, wanted a cleaner look so had them colour coded.

If you’ve had them on a while, even when buffed, there will be some colour variance on the paint once cleaned up.
