Has never worked for me.
Silly question - has the TOPIX got major issues?
I am sure I logged in and was able to get full list/detail of my car (like gbox, engine, options like color(s), cameras, e diff etc.) now its just basically blank. I may be looking in the wrong spot but buggered if i can find the details.
Thanks,

They removed a whole bunch of functions - and is now basically useless for checking specs.
Last time I tried I couldn’t even log in

Same here, it used to give a complete list of the cars build details from the vin. Now all I can see is the service history. I wonder why the functionality was reduced?

Although, to be fair, I've recently read with horror that (I think) BMW and Audi at least are now trying to impose a subscription model for various functions on owners - eg, a monthly subscription for heated seats.... BMW introduces subscription model for car tech upgrades | The Standard | Warrnambool, VICSo very Land Rover. Only paid functionality
The article tries to be neutral about it, but I instinctively hate the idea.... I suppose it'll become more common, but I like to own my vehicle outright...
For models that deliver an ongoing service with costs, i'm fine with that - Netflix for example, needs to keep developing content, build servers etc, MYOB continue to develop updates, keep up with tax, whatever.
A car though, is 'dumb', and as opposed to a software licence, has a finite life, so the repeat business is already there to pay for R&D etc. Even then, I could deal with the subscription piece if the entry price was lower (for example, Adobe used to be a $1000+ piece of software, now a fraction of that monthly) but i sincerely doubt the BMW purchase prices will come down... I wonder if they will also have an ads-supported tier, where in order to turn the seat heater on, I first need to hear an ad about a new iphone etc.

Yep. Couldn't agree more. Tesla can enable upgrades over the air, BMW will do the same but cheaper maybe? Instead of $1000 heated seats they'll be $11 a month? Base price is 60k and by the month for everything else?
Don't pay, next month your back 40kw and no reverse sensors?
I dread the day, but it's coming, soon we won't own anything, just our misery
