    Question front wheel bearing

    Hi all, just joined.
I have a 2007 disco 3 TDV6 SE. It's a few thousand kms shy of 300000kms and going relativity strong.
The front left wheel bearing is on its way out and needs replacing. Having a look around and will avoid the cheaper no name brands, but was wondering if anyone had experience with Meyle brand? Thanks in advance.

Not personally for hubs, but I have a Meyle radiator bottle supplied by my mechanic and people on here have used their LCA's (Lower Control Arms), and they seem to be a decent brand. My mech. did fit a front hub from LR that soon needed replacing under warranty, which LR supplied for free but I had to pay labour, as usually is the case for w'ty jobs.

The OEM hub bearing assembly is Timken. I replaced my RRS with genuine 2 years ago
Timken is an American company however some Timken bearing products are made in China

There is information available on counterfeit Timken products, so be wary even when purchasing genuine

I recall the genuine have a laser cut hologram on the package

I bought my last one from 4wd Industries, the box had a made in the USA sticker under two stickers such as assembly D3 D4 RRS manufactured in the UK and a part number sticker. I selected this seller after closely looking at all the others. Nick

Ordered mine from Advanced Factors, genuine timken orange box with hologram on the sealing stickers. Quality gear. Changed both fronts at 230000km, rears as well, but they're not timken.

I've now dropped AF, and source from RimmerBros.. They'll price match if more expensive, their freight seems cheaper and they dont make excuses when something doesnt work.
