Thread: Tyre Trek Carrier

Hi all this is my first post so apologies if its in the wrong spot...I have a Disco 4 and I'm keen on the tyre trek swing out carrier for the 2nd spare. I prefer the hitch mounted option so that my car is back in 'town mode' in no time.
Question is - does anyone have one and used the original D4 hitch? If so...I assume there is room to clear the rear door handle/latch when using their jerry can holders system?
I've checked the Tyre Trek page...and should clear....but its tight...So looking for some real world evidence before pulling the trigger.
I see that Scott ( well known here!) used one but it looked to be on a mitch hitch. Again, I'm hoping for advice/evidence using the original factory hitch.
